The Black & Decker Lawn Mower CM2040 Cordless Mower is included with two 40v Lithium batteries that allow you to mow for about 45 to 60 minutes. The 2nd battery acts as a backup and when you are not using that extra battery, it can be put at the top of the mower in the battery storing compartment. This mower is well suited for 1/3 acres or 14520 square feet of area.
This Black & Decker Lawn Mower is able to mulch, bag clippings and you can also set it to side discharge the clippings just by using the 3 in 1 switch. The size of the bag for this mower is a bit small. However, the other 2 options of mulching and side discharging is quite good. It has an EDGEMAX technology that allows you to easily cut grass in those difficult edgy areas.
This mower has AutoSensing System that detects the thickness of grass and adjusts the power according to that. If the grass is not that thick it will run in a lighter mode with low power. However, if the grass is thicker then it will automatically use more power in order to get the job done. This process helps to increase the runtime of the mower by saving the battery in the lighter power mode.
The height adjustment is pretty easy to do with this lawn mower unlike with other brands of the mower, The Black & Decker Mower CM2040 has a small handle like a lever on the top right side of the mower that you may use to adjust the cutting height from 1.5 to 4 inches.
This mower is able to cover a 20inch wide cutting area which helps to cover more area in a single go. The mowing deck is made up of a polymer which is considered to be a durable material and lasts for many years even with rough terrains.
The Black & Decker Lawn Mower CM2040 has a very useful feature known as safety key that you may find close to the start button. If at any point while mowing you find any obstruction in your way and you require to stop the mower quickly, you just need to pull out the key that stops the motor right away.
